COLLECTING: LIVING WITH ART

Kym Elphinstone is the author of Collecting: Living with Art, a hardcover, linen-clad publication offering a rare glimpse into the homes of some of Australia’s most fascinating art collectors, from the emerging to the iconic.

Published with Thames & Hudson in April 2025, Collecting: Living with Art is a visual feast and a celebration of the enriching endeavour of bringing art into the home. With a foreword by John Kaldor AO and created with Jo Higgins and photographer Dave Wheeler, the book showcases the homes of 26 collectors – ranging from artists, curators, architects, gallerists and philanthropists – and demonstrates how art can transform a space and turn it into a sanctuary of self-expression. Through intimate interviews and extensive photography, Collecting: Living with Art provides insights and practical advice on how to integrate art into your home and daily life.

Collecting: Living with Art is available at good bookstores and online.
